Do I have to download anything onto my computer to watch the Bench Jewelers Network?
The videos are not downloaded and they take up no room on your computer.
The videos are watched via streaming video, using Flash Player. Over 95% of all computers come with Flash Player already installed so you probably already have it on your computer. However, because of the advanced streaming technology used, Flash Player version 8 or higher is required, so you may have to upgrade to the latest version before the video will play.

How do I know which version of Flash Player I have and if I need to upgrade?
Just click on one of the videos to watch it. If it begins playing you have the latest version of Flash Player. If not you will receive a message to upgrade your Flash Player. Just click OK and the new player will be installed on your computer.

Is my PC compatible?
For best results, a 56K broadband connection is needed.

Do I need to be connected to the Internet to watch the streaming videos?
Yes, you must have an active high speed internet connection running (56K or higher) for best results.

Can I watch any of the videos for FREE?
YES! There is a Free Access channel on the Bench Jewelers Network..

On the Preview Channel you can watch the Pilot episode and read the synopsis of each of the shows on the Members Network.

Can I watch a video full screen?
YES! To watch videos full screen, click on the button on the right end of the player bar (underneath the video) while the video is playing. To exit full screen mode press the ESC button on your keyboard.

If I experience choppiness when beginning to watch a video what do I do?
Click the PAUSE button on the Player Bar (underneath the video) and wait a few seconds, then hit the play button again, this will alleviate the lag time due to buffering.

How do I download a video?

The link to the video takes me to a screen that tells me I need to log in again.
The problem you are having with the video link is your internet privacy setting is too high. To change this open the internet, go to: Internet Options, Privacy, change settings to Medium.

How do I get copies of the episodes for future reference ?
The videos will remain on the website for the year. Each time a new episode is added it becomes the current episode and the last video is moved to past episodes.

How do I become a member?

How often may I view the videos and how many may I view?
Once you are a member you may watch as many videos as many times as you want, for as long as you continue your membership.

Can I view a video before becoming a member?
Yes. The Pilot Episode of the shows are available to watch for free on the Preview Channel.

What payment methods are accepted?
You can pay for membership to the Bench Jewelers Network using a credit card or by using Pay Pal.

Why do you need my email?
Your email is used to send a payment confirmation message and as an identifier for correspondence. From time to time we will send e-mail notifications of new shows and episodes.

Will you share my email with any one else?
No. We Hate Spam as Much as You Do! We assure you that your email address is kept strictly confidential and is not shared with anyone for any reason. We value every member and respect your privacy. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose our list of members for any reason.

What if I change my e-mail address?
No problem. From any of the member pages click on “Change Info”. A new window will pop-up with your account information. Make any necessary changes to your information and click “Submit”.

What happens if I am a member and forget my Password or Username?
No problem. From the Home Page click on “Look up username or reset password”. If you forgot your Username fill in your e-mail address and it will be e-mailed to you. If you forgot your password you can create a new password.

Can I cancel my membership and receive a refund for the unused portion?
No! Refunds will not be given for un-used portions of your membership. Be sure to watch the Pilot Episodes on the Preview channel to see what the content of the Bench Jewelers Network is like before joining to see if the shows will meet your needs.

How do I cancel my membership?
It is easy! Send us an email at least 5 days before your subscription ends (recurring billing is on a 30 day cycle).

Why is there advertising on the member pages?
Just like Cable and Satellite TV, advertising is a part of Internet Television. In order to keep your membership fee as affordable as possible, advertisers are needed to help pay for the cost to produce the shows and to provide the server and bandwidth needed to air the Bench Jewelers Network.
Advertisers are carefully selected who’s products and services are relevant to the professional bench jeweler. The Bench Jewelers Network limits advertisers to one 15 second ad prior to the start of the show.

Can I share videos on Bench Jewelers Network with friends?
Shows on Bench Jewelers Network are for members only. If you find a show might be helpful to others do both of us a favor and encourage them to join Bench Jewelers Network.
